Past/Casual Staff

We have had a number of characters at Planet in the past that a number of customers still ask after.

They think they have permanently left the shop but we have a policy of not allowing that to happen. We like to keep tabs on them and call on them when the "call of the bike" gets too much for our regular staff to bear. Don't be surprised if you see a familiar face beaming back at you next time you come in.

Richard "the other Pom" Ellis

Richard "the other Pom" Ellis. Former owner there is not a lot this middle aged gentleman does not know about bikes. Richard has sold up in KeriKeri and is currently "at large" in the Adelaide area of Aussie. He still has an eye on his Mt Eden baby and has a hankering to return some day.

Geeza

Geeza is the shop's original mechanic, super sales person and mountain bike instructor. A genuine London Cockney, he always escapes to the motherland for our winters and was last seen in the Rotorua area.

Bandit the one armed Westie

Bandit the one armed Westie is still resident out west and joins our bunch rides on occasion.

Haggis the Scot

Haggis the Scot was last seen up north but has been known to show up in the forest in his Planet Cycles colours.
